I don't get the Miller for Halak deal people keep throwing around. Miller makes the Blues no better than they are with Halak and Halak makes the Sabres no better than they are with Miller. It would be a wash of a trade.

I guess the 5 years younger deal and the Blues would prob have to throw in a pick? I honestly think Regier waiting way too long on both Vanek and Miller and they will both walk to either nothing or very little at the deadline.

Vanek, at the very least will fetch a very similar deal Calgary got for Iggy at the deadline. 1st & 2 prospects. I still think Miller resigns.

I would like to see both Miller and Vanek resign. They both have incredible work ethic and will probably be very good well into their 30's. I think we've cut enough fat in this rebuild as it is.

The Blues have 2 buyouts left too. As spend-happy as Pegula claims to be, I can't see trading for a player-to-be-bought-out. You don't trade Vanek and/or Miller just to get them off the roster. It's all about the return.

if Miller and Vanek are on the Sabres roster opening night without a contract extension it will be a huge distraction to everyone

Miller needs to be gone yesterday.....he will have no value at the trade deadline unless a contenders goalie goes down.

I assumed we would buy him out next year. Either way, not a good trade and not gonna happen.
